While celebrating our 60th year in iron and steel industry, our resolve and determination to serve the industry and our country is as strong as the day we started the business.

METE STEEL proudly serves its customers with its extensive hot rolling, cold drawn and peeled bar production capacity, wide range of hot rolled and forged special steels and seamless steel pipes stock. Our aims are constantly achieving and sustaining the high standards of quality in production, responding to customer demands in the fastest and best way possible and constantly adapting to changing market conditions.

We will continue to be one of the most prominent actors in the iron and steel industry in Turkey with our highly qualified team and strong work ethic. While we are confident in achieving our aims, I would like to take this opportunity to thank my dear family and my most distinguished collegues at work, my partners and dear friends in the industry for their kind support.

Dr. Hasan Abatay

Dr. Hasan Abatay obtained his BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University in 2004, Msc in Control Systems from The University of Sheffield in 2005 and DPhil in Engineering Science from University of Oxford in 2010. Before joining the steel industry, he worked in finance industry in London.

Dr. Lema Uyar Abatay

Dr. Lema Uyar Abatay holds a bachelor’s degree from Boğaziçi University, a LLB degree from Istanbul Bilgi University, and MPhil and DPhil degrees in Law from University of Oxford. Before joining the firm, she worked in academia.
